COMPUTER AS A TUTOR

            'Teacher as a Tutor'...how about this.....'Computer as Tutor'...Who wins?...

Today, the first line can't without impacting itself to the second one. and so as with the second one, it wouldn't win also without having it crossed against the first line.

Therefore CAI can't replace the Teacher's role. We all know that there are rules that teachers have to do that CAI can't. A computer can't assess and insure if the students have the needed knowledge and skills for it does not have any will and intellect, the teacher can decide the appropriate learning objectives while computer do not Only the teacher who has a different and various strategies, methods and techniques that he applies to hi delivery of the lesson towards his students in which he is letting the student to realize their potentialities because in this way the teacher is feeding the needs and interests of each learner. And computer can't do this.

With CAI, we can only expect lower level learning skills and what is only programmed in the computer will be the only thing a student will learn unlike with a teacher, we can learn more from him/her as we can freely asks questions or can interact with different experiences in life.

CAI is not at all applicable to any learning activities of the students. Drill and practice software materials can be useful if we want excellence in the use of the computer. It's a big help to the teacher but it doesn't reigned over the teacher role. Teachers are still the best and suited way for a student to learn more, computers can only assist.
